Special 4.7 internals including crankshaft, pistons, and conrods are tried, tested and currently in use in a number of Eagle built E-Types.
The incorporation of this lightweight cylinder block, however, will be a world first. It will save a substantial amount of weight from a critical position in the car.
The cast block has now been machined at the Crosthwaite & Gardner engineering facility and it is soon to come back here to Eagle for final assembly. It complements our own well established aluminium 5 speed gearbox perfectly - clearly demonstrating our massive dedication and commitment to the Jaguar E-Type.
Our first two 4.7 litre engines, with fuel injection, will be used in our very special aluminium 'Low Drag Coupe' project and in another very exciting, unique, and special E-Type project that will be announced this year.
