First hand evaluation of the Eagle Speedster before it leaves for the USA.
We are grateful to EVO, The E-Type Club and Jaguar World for taking the time to visit Eagle and experience our latest special project before it is shipped to the other side of the Atlantic.
EVO
Henry Catchpole drove the car through the leafy lanes of Sussex down to the coast where he was treated to, not only a drive across the famous white cliff tops in this unique creation, but was able to witness a Battle of Britain recreation from the cockpit at the very same time! Read his stirring report and see David Sheperds stunning photographs in the current issue, #137.
The E-Type Club
If you have an interest in the Jaguar E-Type then you should already be a member of this club and will already be receiving the impressive monthly publication that they produce. If you aren't - you can join here and catch up. Firmly established Jaguar historian and writer, Philip Porter, came down to try the Speedster himself and we were relieved and delighted that he not only 'got' the concept - but completely loved it. Read the report in Novembers issue #60.
Jaguar World
Respected Jaguar guru, Jim Patten, came to drive the car and report for Jaguar World Magazine. Jim has driven everything that is 'Jaguar' and surely knows all that one can know about the marque. He too loved the Speedster and totally understood 'what and why'. He has written a detailed and complimentary appraisal in the November issue now on shelves.
GQ Gentlemens Quarterly
Celia Walden examines the Speedster, undertakes a little modelling with top photgrapher, John Higginson, and writes an interesting article from a refreshing and completely different perspective to the car magazines.
The fabulous images and article were in the January 2010 edition
